Spying On Your Competition For Backlinks

In order to make money with Squidoo you have to have visitors and the best visitors you can have is targeted visitors. Targeted visitors are those visitors that are laser focused on the subject you are presenting. The way to those laser focused visitors is through the search engines.

Visitors that come from search engines are people that wrote in what they were interested in and was directed to your lens because the search engine felt it was one of the pages that were relevant to the search. So the higher you lens is for a certain search result the targeted visitors you are going to get.

One of the best ways to raise your lens to the top of the search engines is by getting good quality one way backlinks. One way to find good quality one way backlinks is by spying on your competition for backlinks. Check the top 10 of your competitors and see who is linking to them and see if you can get some of those backlinks.

To see who is linking to your competitors go to Yahoo’s Site Explorer and put in the address of the site or lens you want to spy on and click the “Explore URL” button.

You will then see the page below. Click the “Inlinks” button.

You will then see the page below. Click the pull down menu and select “Except from this domain” and that will give you the backlinks outside of that sites domain.

Now you can just through and check out those backlinks.
